The Adidas Germany 2016 Home Long-Sleeve Jersey was created for the reigning world champions heading into UEFA Euro 2016. The shirt returned Germany to an extremely clean white-and-black look, with a black crewneck, black Adidas branding and the four-star DFB crest. Sitting between them is the gold FIFA World Champions 2014 badge, celebrating Germany’s World Cup victory in Brazil two years earlier.

One of the best details is almost invisible from a distance: the tonal graphic running vertically through the center isn’t a random pattern. Adidas designed it as a visual chart of Germany’s historical finishes at the World Cup and European Championship, turning the country’s tournament history into part of the fabric itself. The Three Stripes were also moved away from their traditional shoulder position and run vertically down the sides of the jersey.

The sleeves continue the history theme. “54-74-90-14” commemorates Germany’s four World Cup-winning years—1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014—while the opposite sleeve carries “72-80-96” for the country’s three European Championship victories. Period Euro 2016 examples document both sets of championship years as part of the shirt’s detailing.

This is the less commonly seen long-sleeve Climacool version. Product code AA0147 corresponds to the men’s Germany 2015/16–Euro 2016 long-sleeve home jersey, with Adidas documentation from retailers identifying the long sleeves, Climacool ventilation and recycled-polyester construction.
